Last friday was rather cool, even if I was decimated every 2 mins. I think I did fairly OK considering it was my first time playing online, ever, and my first time ever playing the game too. I've been getting some practice in on TF2 this week though.

It wasn't so cool going to bed at 07.30am though, having not slept at all that night. :haha:

I'll be ready for friday!

Leeky, you had quite the rough night haha. I intend to play TF2 this Friday as planned, but since there's a major US holiday this week, I'm wondering how many of you will be able to make it? Depending on the headcount, we may opt to join a server that is already somewhat occupied instead of trying to jumpstart our own.

I've learned my lesson now though, I'll be getting an early night, so I'm rested and awake. I'm totting up the hours on TF2 already, its actually pretty addictive once you get started! :haha:

As Matthew mentioned, it's the holiday weekend. Not sure if I'll be able to make it for this Friday night. I've only played TF2 a couple of times so probably not be the best of teammates anyway. But what the heck - willing to give it a shot if I'm around and a team is willing to take a newbie!

Man, this week is flying by. We had a pretty decent turnout last Friday, considering it was a holiday and all. Unfortunately, with the amount of people participating, we won't be able to kick the night off with L4D2 anymore. I'd hate to exclude it entirely, so we can always hop on later in the evening when members begin logging off. There's usually a handful of people left around 3AM EST and that's perfect for L4D2.

With that said, TF2 will become the primary game for the coming weeks and we'll attempt to find other titles that can be included in the roster.

That's trickier than it sounds because not only do a lot of people have to own the game, but the game must support a large group of players. For standard gatherings, it will also have to flexible enough to let people come and go freely without affecting the gameplay. Again, your feedback on this is greatly appreciated. I will be comparing everyone's game libraries in the next week or so to find an ideal match.

Anyhow, I look forward to being stomped again this Friday . We'll be playing on the same server at the same time (174.34.135.83:27015, midnight EST).

I don't have COD4, but I've been considering those sorts of games, so maybe if enough people are serious I'll buy it so I can join in.

Kicking off with TF2 sounds great to me, I looooove that game. :haha:

I would say COD:MW would be a great game to add, also Battlefield: Bad Company 2 can hold a ton of people on one server!

I'm pretty sure thats the game that was offered for £9.99 on Steam that I seriously considered purchasing. I like war style combat shoot'em ups.
