The Best Mice

A trivial point, but you mean 'mouses'. The rule is, when a word with an irregular plural is used outside of its original context, the plural gets regularized. Thus, an ant has two antennae but a TV has two antennas. I have two mice, my PC has two mouses.

Came to say this! But maybe with not such a nice explanation.

I'm done with expensive mice and bullshit high DPI. Now I just go to Amazon and buy $15-20 mice and they look, feel, and perform as good as the name brands. I have 3 different ones now that I paid less for than 1 mouse from the big boys. I'm a pretty low sensitivity dude just don't need rocket ship movement where I flick my wrist 1/8" and the mouse travels for three days. Some get off on that but it's too damn fast for me. I went through 3 Kone Pure mice in 3 years, all due to button issues. No more paying $60-80 for a mouse for me, not for what's out there for way cheaper.

I'm with you , did the same thing and much happier . Logitech mice are a complete NO GO for me . The clicking mechanisms lose their precision in well under a year , it's pathetic.

I avoid all Logitech mice , the clicking mechanisms have ALWAYS lost their precision over time and I'm talking in under a year . I don't even game and am just an average web surfer.

Other brands of mice have not lost their click precision at all , even much cheaper mice .

Very very disappointed with them , anything but a Logitech.

I find that interesting. I'm going on 3 years of solid daily use with both of my G600 mouses (see, I pay attention to the grammar police) with no degradation on clicking at all. And I'm talking heavy 8 hours a day constant use for my CAD workstation, and spasmodic clickfest marathons on my gaming rig at home.

As always, everyone's mileage and experiences vary.

After having used countless mice over the years I have settled on a RC mouse I buy from China for $4. It has better range than bluetooth with no pairing and driver problems. The precision is nearly as good as wired devices. Mice being a mechanical device they will eventually fail. I buy these 3 at a time and when they get dirty or fail at $4 its a throw away item.

Sounds like someone's been reading dodgy usage guides again. Computer mouses is just wrong, I've never heard anyone use it before. The top search results is people having been given the same advice, not actual results for mice, except for a staples pages in tenth place that's clearly an SEO trap as the category listing on the site goes for 'mice'.

I'd used logitech in the old days and not been impressed with their durability but they have been consistently popular so I thought I'd given them another try and see if they'd improved.

Nope. The G600 I bought developed clicking issues in two and a half years, 4 million clicks into it's claimed 20 million click lifetime.

To be fair I've yet to find anyone making good quality mice, no mouse I've had has lasted much longer than four years. I've heard good things about Zowie, but there are so many claims about good build quality out there that it's hard to tell whether any of them have merit.

Good to see I made a good choice for a value mouse, I've had no problems at all with my G402! Interesting not to see the G403 make the cut for the wireless section, maybe it's a close runner up? Haven't used it myself, but I've heard nothing but good things about its performance, despite the lack of faith that the gaming community seems to have in wireless products.
