The Boeing 'Loyal Wingman' is Australia's first combat drone

- Australia and New Zealand had (or has) a combined military force called by an acronym, "ANZAC". The fought on the side or the allies in WWII.

Any nation that wishes a sense of identity, independence and security needs a standing military force.

I realize that meed seem a bit abstract to the basement X-Box players of recent generation, who are in fact, completely convinced they are the center of the universe. But trust me, it is standing armies, and the dedicated people that serve in them, that bestow all freedoms upon you.

The following is a song called, "And the Band Played 'Waltzing Matilda', which outlines the results of a WWI confrontation between the Turks and Aussie forces. Judging by the context, it woulld seem that turkish gunfire and shelling was a lot more deadly that native snake bites. It's a little bit morbid and somewhat slow paced, but try to tough it out:

And here's a song from, "The Seekers", which many Aussies believe should be their national anthem:

I'll leave to to your progressive thoughts now.You can use them to shelter you from reality..

Should I take that to mean you have to be informed about just what wars are allowed to be fought, and that you need be consulted first for permission?

The Australian military only attacked the Turks on the British say so, they only attacked Vietnamese on the US say so, they only participated in the middle east theatres on US say so. The only time Australia has been physically threatened is by the Japanese... but the US nuked them so they gave up on that idea, and on war in general, and became a neutral country like Switzerland.
China is Australia's #1 threat, and the only real one. But they aren't going to attempt to take it by force, they will just hang them with the noose of capitalism.
Yeah I'm Aussie, I can see it all playing out.

Your logic being that Australia has no mineral or geographical advantage that a foreign nation (such as China, Indonesia or the Philippines) might find useful and therefore should not invest in their military defence?
Funny how you begin with ‘your logic’ and then go on to say the Philippines are a potential enemy to Australia. Can you show any real evidence to support that or have you confused your logic with fact. Philippines and Australia are currently and to my knowledge have always been friends even to the point of Australia supporting Philippines in military operation on their soil. If we are to follow your logic then pretty much any country in the world could be our enemy

1. China
2. Philippines
3. Indonesia
4. India (maybe, at some point in the future if they stay on their nationalization track)
So pretty much any country in the world then is Australia’s potential enemy. Again with Philippines? Lol and India? How and where is there evidence for India being our enemy? Let’s continue to spend massive amounts of money to ‘protect’ our country meanwhile we export our wars to other countries in ‘Trumped’ up lies and propaganda that we continue to be sucked in by.

I agree that Aus has no real threats and we are just playing war games.
Nothing is "Trumped" up about any of the wars we have participated in though. Trump is the only US president in a very long time to not start a new conflict and has actively pushed for bringing the boys back home, much to the disgust of many people. Most people seem to overlook this.
