i read a thread you posted on this very problem related to pnkbstr K driver error
i am having a similar problem.
i read through your responses and i have not been able to solve my problem.
my os is xp home
i am using a windows firewall. not sure how to detect any other firewall on my system?
my internet link is via a external wireless communication transmitter with a fixed ip address to xplornet in Canada. I have had this for 3 years and this problem has just become a problem in the last 6 months.
I believe it is a DSL link
about 3meg /minute download and 1mb /upload
latency is about 40-70 millseconds
I live in a remote location and no land line connection is available.
my fire wall is Windows
i use Stopzilla anti spy ware
i use Speeedup my computer 2009 to optimize.
There are two punkbuster drivers that reside in Windows 32; pnkbstr A and B
and they seem to come on when i boot up the computer and log into windows.
my game COD5 and COD 4 Battlefield all indicate a punkbuster communication failure.
I am not sure what to do?
i have reloaded punkkbuster several times. hope you might be able to help this old dog with some new tricks
