Thermal diode in AMD Barton?

I have a mobile AMD Athlon-XP-M 2400+ Barton CPU. I've heard/read that there is a thermal diode in the core. I would like to know, one way or the other. If there is, I also need a link to software that would allow me to monitor the core temperature. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

It definitely should come with some form of temperature sensor on the chip. You can use a program like HWMonitor, CoreTemp or RealTemp to monitor the core temperature.
