Too many processes/services on Vista

Hi,

I got a new Dell laptop with Vista. And there are just too many processes/services running.

I'm sure there's lots of stuff that is unnecessary, so I was wondering how I can check which ones to keep and which not to. Right now there are 80 running processes, its using 1.2 GB memory with a physical memory usage of 39%.

So how can I get started to identify what's needed and what's not?

Despite the name most of this does work in vista and will lower memory usage and the number of processes and services windows uses.
