WoW, this is a killer price for $179.00 + free shipping! Other LCD markers will cry on this offer, Acer, Asus, Samsung, HP, Viewsonic, NEC, price war start now?

I don't think the monitor is so fantastic a price. I got a 17" which suffices last year for $79 from Tiger Direct no shipping.

17" (Square screen) - $79
Total viewing area about: 139 sq in.
About $0.57 per sq inch

24" (Wide screen) - $179
Total veiwing area is about 247 sq in.
About $0.72 per sq inch

You're deal was roughly 25% better. Sitting reeeaaaally close your LCD is a fair trade for that kind of savings, right? :)

LOL...congratulations on your 17" purchase. The only people I know who buy those size monitors these days use them as wrist watches.

That's a very nice price on a 24" monitor. Might have to buy one at that price.

Does anyone actually have this monitor? I have had trouble finding review for it. I am definitely keeping my eye open for a good monitor deal, but I would prefer something well known/rated and something with higher contrast ratio myself.

@compdata -

I have the S2309W 23" from Dell which is essentially the same monitor but w/o HDMI input. And I love it. Movies, games, pretty much everything looks great on it.
