Inactive Two trojan.agent items tied to c:\windows\svchost.exe - easier repair?

So, Malwarebytes was detecting 2 trojan.agent items tied to c:\windows\svchost.exe. When I select to remove it via Malwarebytes, it tries to remove it, but after rebooting, the windows\svchost.exe file is still there, and a Malwarebytes scan detects it again.

I took my computer to an IT guy/friend and he downloaded Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2013 - ran the scan - and it deleted the virus.

We also deleted Malwarebytes and SuperAntiSpyware so that the virus would not attach itself to those programs.

Is there anything I can do ensure that the virus is definitely gone?

Thanks for your help.
