In context: Star Wars Outlaws is just a few weeks away from launch, and Ubisoft has released the complete PC requirements for the game. The good news is that playing at 1080p with high settings isn't too demanding. However, moving up to 1440p and 4K will require more powerful hardware. However, all the specs are listed with upscaling enabled.

An update on the Ubisoft store page reveals the full PC requirements for what the company calls the first ever open-world Star Wars game. The good news for those with lower-end PCs is that the game will run on at least an AMD Ryzen 5 3600 or Intel Core i7-8700K combined with a GeForce GTX 1660 (6 GB), AMD RX 5600XT (6 GB), Intel Arc A750 (8 GB, with ReBAR on). Note that this kind of rig will only manage 30fps at 1080p with low graphics presets.

Moving up to the recommended specs, Ubisoft says an AMD Ryzen 5 5600X or Intel Core i5-10400 will suffice, along with an RTX 3060 Ti (8 GB), AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT (12 GB) or better. The RTX 3060 Ti is the fourth most-popular GPU among Steam survey participants, so plenty of people should be covered at this level. You'll be able to play at 1080p with high graphical presets at this level.

Those with a 1440p monitor who want the high-settings/60fps experience need an AMD Ryzen 7 5800X or Intel Core i5-11600K combined with a GeForce RTX 3080 (10 GB)/GeForce RTX 4070 (12GB), or AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT (16 GB) or better.

Finally, playing in 4K at 60fps with Ultra settings requires at least an AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D or Intel Core i7-12700K. As for the graphics card, you'll need a GeForce RTX 4080 (16 GB) or AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX (24 GB) or better.

All levels require at least 16 GB of dual-channel RAM and 65 GB of free SSD space (no HDDs).

The caveat here is that Ubisoft lists each setting as being upscaled (Quality settings), which is 1080p upscaled from 720p, 1440p upscaled from 960p, and 4K upscaled from 1440p.

Companies listing games with upscaling is becoming a common sight. When Remnant II was released last year, developer Gunfire Games said it was designed to be used with DLSS, FSR, and XeSS as standard, making it the first PC game "designed with upscaling in mind."

Star Wars Outlaws launches on August 30 on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S.

I don't think anyone cares aside from those that still think the Far Cry series is a good game to play. That's all this game looks like is a reskinned Far Cry game.
Far Cry is a good franchise . This game is developed by the studio which created The Division , so it should be done well but I m going to vomit at the sight of the heroine . Meh . Disgusting .

Ubisoft games have always been CPU cache benchmarks, from what I remember. There is a wide gap between a 5800X and 5800X3D in a lot of games.

Game looks fun and I have a 4080, looks like a solid bday purchase for myself, I like the ubi formula, adding in some spaceflight and a lil creature partner is pretty cool imo, but im still a grown man who plays games for fun so what do I know?

I saw some stealth gameplay yesterday and it was baaad. Graphics, bad. Ragdoll physics, wtf.

This comment under Jack's video says it all:

@rapatouille
Splinter Cell: you can hide in shadows
Star Wars Outlaws: you can hide in plain sight

Things worthy getting riled up about:
-microtransactions in single player games
-siginificantly stupid DEI initiatives, such as making a black dude the MC in a feudal Japan based game
-upscaling as a norm in game requirements
-immersion breaking abominations such as the Animus

Things not worthy getting riled up about:
-normal open world game design
-upscaling in general
-boycotting a game because of some minor things you saw in a video

Really silly things to get riled about:
-boycotting a game because the MC is allegedly "ugly"

Zx8086 , I dont like Avatar Frontiers of Pandora too . What an ugly mess .Ubisoft latest games are not to my liking I like The Division , Assassin s Creed Unity and etc.

I notice it in many new games, technical imperfections I mean. My guess would be reliance on prebuilt automated software that does almost all of the work.

But I do not like it. These seems like not the biggest deal, but the attention to details is what helped GTA became GTA, in addition to a long list of other amazing things.
Same goes for Last of Us. The game got so much attention to small things; it is a masterpiece.

Let’s see how well this game will be rated. Looking at current trends, games are made only to look nice, but falls flat when it comes to gameplay and story line. Given the overly taxing hardware requirements, most will not get to enjoy the graphics anyway.

Who knows how it ll be received by the gamers . Considering the stupidest game Banana as top 2 on Steam chart ... hah hah

It looks pretty naff. Really in line with the Disney focus group approach to Star Wars. Need a cute side kick, widely appealing story that doesn't really say anything daring, nobody actually gets hurt (in the footage she frequently just bonks storm troopers once on the head and they pass out cold). She's meant to be an outlaw, I.e. more like how Andor behaves, but no doubt is going to be the 'good guy' who never really hurts anyone, never really gets hurt and ultimately probably saves the galaxy from something 'bad'. I expect it to be like, 65-75 out of 100 on metacritic.

Geez, these comments, no wonder everyone points laughs at gamers, if a game with a female doesnt make her a pale tiny anime-ish looking, waifu-candidate who's borderline naked they start shouting the word ugly like those dopey seagulls from finding nemo.

Kira setsu, you wrote a bunch of nonsense . I love Assassins Creed Origins . The main character is not the most handsome guy but he s not ugly but the game is awesome . Though it happened to crash my PC upon closing sometimes .

Right? Seems pretty shallow to critique a game based on, effectively, "the main character isn't hot enough or hot at all". It's all been done before anyways (supermodel protagonists) so what a boring take.

Although I m not a big fan of first person shooters , I have plenty of them . Yes , I like a lot of them but I could say I dont know their faces because you can see the character only in cut scenes .

Ever heard of the saying "beauty is in the eye of the beholder"?

I played ac origins, enjoyed odyssey a bit more because their version of ancient greece was epic and kassandra was a boss, origins was great but I enjoyed bayek because of his character, I'm a dude so I wasnt playing to fantasize about him, I wanted to help him get his justice and ended up going on a wonderful digital journey.

thats how I treat all games I play, if I lived by the basement gamer code of follow the pretty character I wouldve missed countless classic or just plain ol good games.

fellow internet denizen learn to form your own opinion, quit squawking whatever the others say, trust me youll end up with a much happier outlook on life.

No, the people who are upset that the main character isn't their idea of beauty so they won't buy the game is a bunch of nonsense.

Dude, if I can't masturbate looking at my own character while playing a game, its not worth playing! /s
