Ubisoft thinks you should pay $120 for Far Cry 6 GOTY Edition even though it didn't win...

My brother purchased FarCry 4 and 5 for me when they were on sales. Not much money spent.

We never played FC4 together, but we did play through FC5 and I wish we hadn't. The forced cut scenes if one of you enters the area the cut scene triggers, both of you are pulled into the cut scene even though the other player was all the way across the map doing something else...and that's just one of the irritating things about the game....what a shotty game, I didn't enjoy any of my time playing it.

As for FC4, according to Uplay I've put around 10 hours into FC4. I do not remember ever, ever, playing FC4. Just goes to show you how unforgettable the game is.

Being a glutton for punishment, I've played FC1 a few times (and many cyber cafe LAN sessions back in the day), FC2 twice, FC3 2-3 times (and the co-op stuff 3 times or more), FC4 twice (and co-op), FC5 twice (and the co-op twice too), FC Primal once, but I didn't like FC Blood Dragon and gave up - I should be numb to the stupidity of it all but FC6 was trite to say the least, and thoroughly unengaging.

If the game was really good I could justify the price, but it sucked. Why does it take three shots with a shot gun to the head to kill a dog that's attacking my character? Why do I have to shoot baddies in the head twice with a .50 caliber weapon? Very few, if any, militaries choose between AP and hollow point ammunition on a mission to mission basis.

I think militaries are, generally speaking, not allowed to use hollow point bullets. At least there is a treaty that specifies no hollow point bullets. Not sure if the US is a part of that treaty. Some US forces use them but I think the general ammo is ball or the equivalent.

GOTY editions are also usually the price of the game at launch, but including all the DLC. This is the price at launch, plus the almost full-ticket price of the DLC, plus a mostly unrelated older game for more than you would usually get it for on its own in any given sale.

TL;DR: This should be $60.

I enjoyed it more than 4 and 5, but I also dropped both those games halfway through. It was a decently fun ride, but after completing it, I have absolutely no desire to ever go back - it's the very definition of a rental game, and $120 for it is robbery.

No Far Cry game should ever cost that, especially with how well they F'ed up Far Cry 2....3 was a slight improvement and it was all downhill after that.

I have more fun playing FarCry and that game is old, March, 2004. Still have my physical copy of the game, plus all the necessary patch files to install with it. I find the game more fun than any other Far Crap game.

FC 2 was fun. It had a few issues but I finished it

I mostly assume GOTY was all the game play - all DLCs etc - may miss some cosmetics

Some games say Deluxe version and is only the soundtrack extra or even just wallpapers
Complete vs Ultimate etc

Too many people fooled thinking they were getting everything
Then they have the problem to get that last DLC costs $10

But be have Mr Majestyk paying $10 for everything a few years later .
I even seen it worst - where the DLC is $15 , but the whole caboodle on super deep discount is $10

I see games people backed on KS for X dollars , sold at discount not long after release for X-$5 .

Just the way it is - I've done too many searches Complete vs Ultimate etc

This game was so average with a horrible storyline even though I pirated it I just after a few hours I got bored and wiped it off my disk. It's worth nothing.

Same here I lost interest within the first 10 mins. I'm a fan of the FARCRY series but this was bad. I actually forgot about it a day later and paying $60 which I was tight on money during that time period.

Pretty well how I buy all my games these days - I'm not one who is champing at the bit for another so-called AAA title and they almost always drop to sub £20 given time..
