Unable to detect Webcam on Windows 10

I have HP Pavilion X360 with Window 10, I recently bought it from a local shop. Problem is that I am unable to do a skype video call. it keeps telling me unable to detect Webcam. I have an inbuilt webcam. please help me.

"recently bought it from a local shop" - warranty? or try HP support..
https://support.hp.com/us-en/products/laptops ...they have good diagnostics

Otherwise, I would try to confirm in Device Manager that the webcam registered as error free, I might uninstall it and reboot to see if it would be properly installed on the system restart. Then I might find another webcam software and test use on webcam in that. https://www.howtogeek.com/234786/how-to-take-photos-and-record-videos-with-your-computers-webcam/

It appears that some of the missing drivers in Windows 10 Technical Preview are drivers for certain webcams. Luckily, you can use your old Windows 8.1 drivers, and your webcam should work normally again. You just have to go to your webcam manufacturer and download necessary drivers for Windows 8.1 that are compatible with your webcam.

I hope by now your problem is resolved
If not, please post back with COMPLETE computer model name (eg:HP Pavilion 14-ba100 x360 Convertible PC...), as there are several sub-models under "x360". Once you've posted back, I will lead you in the right direction.
