Using Dreamweaver for site design

Evening all
How do I change the little logo that appears next to the site title for a website?
On Techspot it is the white T on a blue ground; on Google it is the block of red/green with a ?
What is it called and how do I change it???

Hi jobeard - and thanks for that - now all I have to do is find out how to change it!

You just have to upload the favicon (file) to your file server and call it on the HTML header like this:

<link REL="icon" HREF="/favicon.ico" />
