Vertex Drive - Is It Worth It To Install SATA drivers or just go with IDE Enhanced?

Anyone know the answer to the above question? It would be on an older Intel 955 chipset MB, 32-bit XP Pro, 2GB, Pentium D 900 series 2.8GHz.

Would setting the MB Bios to SATA, AHCI, "F6" SATA Driver installation when installing WinXP, etc. vs. just leaving it at "Enhanced IDE" make any real-world day to day performance difference?

I'm not sure, default value is probably the right value. The vertex drive has a lot of speed IDE interface is not enough, you must have a physical SATA2, if that is even part of this.
