Video and ethernet problem on XP

i recently downgraded from vista ultimate to XP media center edition using a system restore disk for my Desktop
on Vista everything ran perfectly and it played any games i tried to play on it, after using system restore i expected the computer to detect my speakers and router and install them automatically but it didnt.
The router is plugged in through an ethernet port, the internet is working perfectly and i can pick up wireless anywhere in my house the computer just wont recognize it.
The computer wouldnt recognize the speakers at first either but i went on the gateway website and downloaded all of the driver updates that apply to my computer, one of them was a motherboard package that included ethernet port updates and such and there were a few other, of which there was a sound driver update.
The sound driver update fixed the speaker problem but the router still wont connect to the computer. And on top of that i tried to play World of Warcraft which worked very well on Vista and i get an error message every time i try to run it saying:

I'm not that computer savy so i have no idea what that says but when i try to run Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Jedi Outcast instead of giving me that long error message it just tells me that the 3D drivers arent working properly,

i emailed tech support and they gave me a link to all the driver downloads available for me, and i had already gotten all of them except for a BIOS download that i wasn't sure was worth the download

anyone with any ideas to fix my ethernet port/video driver?

EDITED= And before I forget... SWJK is a old game, i believe, but you should find out the patches for vista on SWJK.

For the WoW, there should be patches for Vista already out.

But first thing first, check your main problem, i gave you the page to read it.
