A video has emerged from Chinese microblogging site Weibo (via NWE) that showcases what is portrayed as the chassis of an iPhone 7 in a side-by side comparison with a current-generation iPhone 6s.

In typical leak / rumor fashion, the video was shot / uploaded using a low-resolution device which masks fine details. Nevertheless, it is a bit more revealing than the leaked photo we saw last week which only showed the backside of the device.

The video offers a solid view of the larger camera hole on the rear of the phone as well as how it compares in size to the current version. We also get to see the redesigned antenna lines that hug the top and bottom edges of the device rather than shooting straight across the middle.

The clip further substantiates rumors that we’ve been hearing regarding Apple’s decision to ditch the 3.5mm headphone jack. Based on the visuals, it would seem that Apple has replaced the jack with an extra speaker, perhaps giving the iPhone 7 stereo sound although both speakers are on the same end so you won’t get the all-encompassing experience that speakers on both ends would afford.

If legitimate, I would expect lots of pushback from this decision. Such is typically the case when a longtime standard is pushed toward being phased out.

Unfortunately, the clip doesn’t showcase the larger iPhone 7 Plus which is rumored to feature a new dual-camera system with a wide rear port.

Apple is expected to unveil its new iPhone lineup this September.

So camera is bigger and the antenna lines are moved to the edge and this is what some sites are calling "the hottest looking phone around"?

It's a SLAB of plastic/metal....99.99% of smartphones, are a slab of plastic/metal.
If Apple wants to shake up the industry, how about making a phone that is trapezoidal shape?
