Virtumonde/privacyremover/every virus under the sun

Hi,

I've read several posts which are having similar issues to myself, however the fixes don't seem to work for me.

I too got the Virtumonde and privacyremover.64 warnings, and also get redirected when i google. BUT even if i copy and paste the link i still get redirected.
also, the fixes provided her dont work because all the sites are intercepted by whatever virus i have.

im running avast and was prior to getting the viruses...but nothing seems to be picking them up.

Thinking i should maybe reformat however i havent been able to fins instructions on how to do so as i dont have recovery disks as xp is built in to my laptop.

sorry for sounding like such a n00b, there is probably a really easy solution, however i just cant get to it because of this damned virus!!

You can use any XP CD as long as it is the same version (home, business, ect.)

Then your activation # should be on the bottom of your laptop on a sticker

or if you have floppy drive you can download disk for that
