Vista Error: Unable to work

guys i am having a hp compaq notebook..
Yesterday while loading a movie from a cd i had a error that windows explorer stooped working i hung for a while waited it to finish.......then it said exploer not respondind......then further when i clicked ok it said explorer restarting..................
it has happened before but then it it strats working....but this time its reoccuring................i am not able to open a single file since yestrday after restarting it again says windows explorer stopped working ..............
what should i do??

Try making a system restore man or boot up with the last known good configuration of your OS...

i tried

i tried to do it but it dosnt help....................
it just keep saying windows wxplorer stopped working.....again and again
when i bootup i first ting it says windows explorer stopped working................
i dont get i sec to click
when it restarts it again says windows explorer stoppd working.........................
i even cant shut it down prperly...........
i have to press the power button keep holding it and then switch off......
help please please hlp!!!!!!!!!!!!

Try going to Safe Mode and remove everything you installed on you startup.
