Weekend Open Forum: Mayweather vs McGregor

But I AM just a nerd sitting at a keyboard with no life outside cyberspace. And seeing articles posted like this on a website that is tech related fills me with such anger and rage I don't know what to do. My blood has been boiling for the past 15 minutes. I'm thinking of calling an attorney to see what options I have. Emotional distress lawsuit maybe?

The big draw of this fight for me is that there is honestly just no way to know who can win for sure. I was leaning towards McGregor yesterday before I watched the segment with Paulie Malinaggi explaining how different boxing is from MMA.

Either fighter could win in my opinion. Unless MayWeather can dodge *every single attack* from McGregor, which Oscar De LaHoya seems to think will happen.

Your life must really suck if this article bugs you that much. Maybe you should start your own tech website....
Maybe you should read what you quote.

Fight of the Century? Um....... Really? Did the author truly believe this when writing this article? I know this is a tech site, so he/she may not have the most insight to combat sports......but this was a sideshow from inception, a cash grab, a spectacle that couldn't live up to the type.......and of course it didn't. GGG/Canelo next month: this MIGHT have the makings of the fight maybe not the century but maybe this generation.....It sold out in seconds, while priced similarly to the Maydancer McShowboater 'fight' which didn't sell out..... That shows you where the real fight fans' money is at.

Boxing is a highly technical sport, one of angles of attack, angles of deflection, conservation of energy, and so forth. It's not easy to retain your technical abilities either, after about the first couple of dozen concussions. The human mind can become very much like a computer with bad RAM installed. The parry and thrust aspect, also finds redundancy, or rather an analog, in a forum venue such as this

Now how about if we view the stats on this fight?

54 jabs thrown, (counting this one)

About a dozen site administrator wannabes on the attack.

Another dozen or so angry patrons complaining they didn't receive the bout they were promised on their FREE, COMPLIMENTARY, ticket.

(Why I myself would have rather commented on an article about how 3D printers will eventually put grandmothers out of work knitting baby sweaters).

I'll throw the commentary back to you Mr. Beard...... (FWIW, since this is a thread about a grueling, punishing, (but yet also very technical sport), you're allowed to use the word 'damn' spelled out, but just this once, mind you).

/snip/
And lastly, when a person says, "want, want, want, want, want, want, want", long enough and fast enough, it begins to sound like a pig's grunt. Try it, you'll see! (Oh wait, I see you you already have. Never mind).

I believe the original version of that joke ended with the punchline 'Not bad for a hairlip dog..'
say Mark three times, fast (in case you missed it, or had interesting friends)
