Weekend Open Forum: What is the most amount of time you have spent on a single-player...

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (193 hours)

Probably doesn't seem like a lot to most players. But I have a lot of games. I don't spend too much time on just one game, like to change it up.

226 hours in Torchlight 2 was my Steam profile shows... but I've spent much more in Heroes ofThe Storm and back in the PS1 days, I've spent countless days trying to hatch a Golden Chocobo to get that special Materia and a lot of other secrets in Final Fantasy VII.

Probably GTA San Anreas when I was younger. That game couldn't get boring for me. I don't know how many hours I've played but it's probably around 1k hours.

Probably Ultima III on the NES for me - if not that then Might and Magic IV and V (World of Xeen if both are installed) on the PC.

In total? Probably ES4: Oblivion with the DLC or some such RPG.

In one sitting? Several of the Football Manager series. FM is a game whereby you start it up, and the next thing you realise the police are kicking down your door because the neighbours noticed a bad smell and assume you died some time ago

I don't play computer games anymore. Too tired after work, dealing with lDIOT people.
Now, back in the day, it wasn't uncommon to play 6-7 hours of quake or doom ;)

WOW!!! All those wasted hours just playing video games, but if they were enjoyable hours then it's hours well spent ... Damn man, I'm embarrassed, you'd think I haven't got more important and better things to do.
Time well spent indeed. We all have to entertain ourselves, right? I rarely watch TV most of it is just garbage (reality TV destroyed good television programming). When I do have free time, I prefer to either watch something on Netflix or play a game. Games are a nice way to unwind for me.
I played a text based MMORPG back in high school and college for 10 years on an off. I easily spent 10,000 hours behind the keyboard. It's still out there today and free to play:
I loved MUDs back in the 80s and 90s. I played Alien Adoption Agency (which is also still around, but is nothing like it used to been the early 90s). I didn't bring up MUDs they are multiplayer games similar to MMOs, which almost always consume more time than single-player games. Saying, "How long have you played XYZ MMO (or MUD)?" is like saying, "How long have you been alive?" lol
Probably Ultima III on the NES for me - if not that then Might and Magic IV and V (World of Xeen if both are installed) on the PC.
If I said I loved playing Ultima, would I be giving away my age?

Haha I missed that it was single player only (I'm blaming it on an ad placement).

I am guilty of well past 2000 hours on Halo Combat Evolved on PC. Still know the game well enough to navigate some of multiplayer maps backwards while blindfolded.

Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.... Hundreds of hours....
And Civilization V.... Hundreds more....
Heroes of Might and Magic III... Over 1000 hours for sure...
Oh... And Tetris.... Used to play on Gameboy - was forced to buy the battery pack as the 4 AA batteries would die before my game ended!

Championship/Football Manager: 300-400 hours each.
Diablo 3: well, it's not single player, but I put over 1500 hours in it.
Diablo 2: two level 99 chars, some lvl 97 chars, I think it was 2000 hours.

8-10 hours a day, for the last five years on Minecraft, both single and multi. Weekends and holidays more time. Once, when waiting for a visa to come through, I played 40 hours straight, just to see if I could.

Keeps me out of the bars......

My most played game in Steam is Skyrim, I've logged 668 hours. However since I've been gaming mush longer than Steam has been around it's hard to say. I know I have at least that much time into Morrowind, possibly much more since I had a smaller collection of games 16 years ago. I have a ton of hours in Red Alert 2 and some of the other original C&C games as well.

A. Blizzard games
back in 2000-2002, starcraft: broodwar, about 10-12 hours a day
2008-2010, starcraft: broodwar, about 4 hours a day.
2008-2010, diablo2: lod, about 2 hours a day
haven't touch my sc2: wol+hots (no lotv) and d3: ros in almost a year

B. steam games:
left 4 dead 1, about 1672hours (mostly multiplayer, LOL)
age of empires 2 hd + the forgotten (no African kingdoms and rise of the rajas), 1072 hours
I now play steam games about 2-4 hours a day.

Only around 400 hours in flight sim 98. Modern stuff I have always spent more time in multiplayer, but in like TDU2 I was a lone for 80% of the time.

Been gaming everyday since 1991 piling up countless hours on the Commodore Amiga 500 and then onto pc gaming in 1994. Here are a few that have kept me til dawn:

Dungeon Master (Amiga) easily an all nighter til 5am.
Black Crypt (Amiga)
Eye Of The Beholder 1+2 (Amiga)
Battleforce (Amiga, Battletech game by Ralph Reed)
Elvira horror rpgs (Amiga)
GODS (Amiga)
DOOM (pc)
BLOOD (pc)
Might And Magic 6-7-8 ten hours a day for years.
Unreal Tournament many an afternoon for five or six hours.
The Elder Scrolls Daggerfall usually from 10pm to 5am.
The Elder Scrolls Morrowind so many hours and days rolled into years.
The Elder Scrolls Oblivion, I got no memory, I got no recall of anything at all
The Elder Scrolls Skyrim going on 400 hours pretty soon.
Fallout 3 four to five hour stretches daily until Skyrim came out.
Fallout 4 about to hit 900 hours and counting.

The original Starcraft from 7pm to 6am against my brother inlaw along with many a five hour afternoon deathmatch of Hexen, Heretic, Age Of Empires.

Yes this is my hobby.

3 games that I have played the most in my life is probably starting from World of Warcraft (specifically since The Burning Crusade expansion came out), League of Legends and CS:GO.

Difficult to say, how many hours I spent on WoW, since I haven't played consistently and took some huge breaks from it, but those are still several years ( 9 years to be exact ). So I guess I should have had the most hours there.

2nd place would probably go to League of Legends, I played that game for 4 years (still sometimes log on), but apart from WoW, I played LoL a lot more consistently and there were periods that I spent several hours daily on that game alone, so I guess that would add up.

And 3rd place for me is CS:GO, considering that I only started to play it like 2 years ago, however, same as with League of Legends, I used to play it very consistently and probably have around 1000 hours on it.

I've spent over 400 hours on Mafia 2. Mostly the Joe's Adventures and Jimmy's Vendetta DLCs.

You're scored on each mission, and you can replay them to improve your score, and there's leaderboards. On some missions I'm in the top 5 out of 100k+ players.
