Gotcha! (y) Although, Siemens being a multi-conglomerate, I actually only recognize then as a manufacturer of automotive finishing materials, not computers. I've never really seen a Siemens computer.Over here for laptops it's Lenovo, Samsung, Asus, Toshiba, Dell, Dell "Alienware" (for heavy duty gaming portables), HP, and of course, the infamous Apple line..
I have an ancient "eMachines" T-5026 from 2005 which I still use almost every day. It's quite a relic. eMachines had an awful reputation for their "Bestec" power supplies failing and taking out the motherboard with them. (Those were 250 watters). The T-5026 is a P-4, 3.06 Ghz single core, and came with a 300 watt Bestec PSU. It still fained in less than 6 months, but it didn't break anything else, just died quietly.
I assume eMachines, not wanting any more trouble with warranty from overloaded PSUs, actually shipped the P-4 machines without the PCI-E socket! Imagine my surprise when I came home with a PCI-E video card, and found no socket to plug it into....Just the holes in the board where the socket should have been,,,
Oh well, enough of my ramblings..... "Welcome to Techspot"!
