Who do you live near?

I want to give a loud shout out to the fine people who make up the techspot community. i am coming to you from Boston, Massachusetts in the city we call Hyde Park, Peace.

I'm here in silicon valley. Spend most of my time between san francisco, san jose, and fresno CA. If you're ever visiting let me know and I'll be happy to show you around.

OC rules and cali rules!!

weird, no one heres from the south coast(costa mesea newport beach, laguna, etc) or OC, im from newport beach.

ive been to san francisco nice place :)

Word of advice chimmychunga. Appreciate what you have there now. When I lived there, I thought Vernon was the biggest whole in the world, and couldn't wait to get outta there. Since growing up there, I have lived in Vancouver (5+ years), Costa Rica (1 year), Arizona (2 years) and now Tokyo (8 years), and the best place of them all is Vernon.

You never know how good you have it until you move away. Enjoy it while you are there my friend. That is a beautiful area you live in.

im from costa mesa california(south coast). if anyone is familir with the shot the OC or lauguna beach the real orang county that were im at.

Well, we come from just about everywhere in the world, eh?

One of the best things the internet has given us: a chance to simply belong to a forum and talk like this.

I live in Wales, UK. You know - that country where you can't pronounce the name of any place, and the natives seem to spit at you evry time they speak in the native tongue :D

I'm in Seattle, and have lived within 25 miles of here virtually all of my life. It doesn't rain here nearly as much as people think it does, and I don't own a flannel shirt. What surprises me is how few people on this board are from Washington, land of Emperor Bill & his entourage - the Microsoft Campus is spreading like a fungus all over the east side of Lake Washington, but at least it's beautifully done.

Blakhart, I actually spent a week in Decatur, Nebraska (pop. 632 when I was there some 15 years ago). You are out in the middle of nowhere, aren't you? Far from the maddening crowd and all that. Probably hasn't changed much since then, either. At least you're living in the prettiest part of Nebraska, from what I've seen.

my estranged wife is from seattle. You're right, it doesn't rain as much as people think - only at certain times of the year.

Los Angeles is where I live. Not just in the area but within the city limits.

That's okay. Keep that impression going!

In fact, if any more people are thinking of moving up here, don't do it. I really meant to say that Seattle is really boring and there's nothing up here except geeks in Gore-tex drinking coffee and flannel-clad grunge rockers doing heroin. In the rain. You'd hate it - really, you would. Trust me on this, please?
