Why do I have to choose Windows 7 when I boot if it's the only OS I have?

Always asks me if I want to boot to Windows 7 when I restart or boot up. Its the only OS installed on a new hard drive. I would know how to fix this if it were XP (Boot.ini)...what to do? annoying.
