Major telecom carriers such as AT&T and Verizon have discontinued their fiber-to-the-home efforts, leaving most people facing expensive cable monopolies for the future. While much of the Internet infrastructure has already transitioned to fiber, a supermajority of households and businesses across the country still have slow and outdated connections. Well, due to the market hype, Last-Mile-Fiber has dropped off the radar and focus now is on getting 5G deployed.

There has been all kinds of shenanigans pulled by the major networks -- many are not aware that your upload and download times SHOULD have been identical? Instead, we have an asymmetrical network as that money went elsewhere.

Were lucky if we even get Asymmetrical networking without some type of policing or QoS throttling from the ISP what a time to live in.
