Wifi adapter

Hey,
I recently installed a new windows 7 and after that my wifi adapter is missing, I looked around the internet to fix the problem and came up with nothing so now I am here. I have turned on from the key shortcut (fn+f2) but when I go to network and sharing center and from there change adapter settings, only adapter I see is local are connection, but now Wifi adapter. How can I fix it, please help.

Go to Start > Control Panel > Device Manager and check the list of devices to see if your wifi adapter is listed - expect to see it with a yellow tag which shows the system has found it but not been able to install the drivers for it. Double click on the device and then the driver tab; click on update driver and wait for the system to find a solution - I am assuming you have a cable connection to the internet as you clearly have access by another means.
