Win XP could not load

Hello. My friend's computer was infected by viruses. I decided to setup a new copy of Win XP SP3. But I saw an error at the first of it: "File setup dd.sys could not be loaded. the error code is 4."
I have setup it anyway. every thing worked properly. But today when I wanted to turn on the computer, after main board logo this error has occurred:
"Windows could not start because of an error in the software. Please report this problem as: Load needed DLLs for Kernel.
Please contact your support person to report this problem."

Now I can't load my friend's Win.
Please guide me.

That means something wrong with your DLL files, try to make a system repair ....

Did you reformat ? Before installing your OS.

Boot into Safe Mode which will list every system driver loaded - - that's step one.

if that boots and you can login, then run SFC /SCANNOW to verify the remainer.
