Windows 2030: Microsoft predicts agentic AI OS will replace mouse and keyboard

Yeah, computers were supposed to bring the paperless office, which has yet to happen 48 years into personal computers hitting the market. Microsoft has no vision for Windows, they currently are just stuffing Windows 11 with gimmicks in an attempt to move users off Windows 10. Don't get me started on their AI Recall nightmare!!

It's a classic: in 5 years we will *insert ridiculous prediction*. Idk, it makes short term investment money?
It's a complete clown circus.

Did someone from Microsoft really come out and say that AI removes the toil of work and they (humans) will not need to look for new jobs?

The same company that a few weeks back fired thousands of developers and told them to use AI to find their next job.

Also the same company who had a CEO in 1981 proclaim we will never need more than 640kb of ram! Leadership at this company is a joke!

So I'll pay $300 by then for a AAA game and just sit back and tell it to shoot everything in site. WTF! I guess the game will just play by itself and I get to watch.
Welcome to windows 2030 sit back grab your popcorn and have a talk to yourself, yay I'm just so bloody excited about this shite I cant contain myself.

Crazy, right?

I really doubt that AI will serve as a 'security expert'. Security is a job that requires human intuition.

With keyboard & mouse you can communicate with 1000 users at the same time when by verbal communication only one.

Because there's no way at all to broadcast voice to more than one user at a time. Someone should make a product where you can work with all your teams and have voice calls where everyone hears what anyone else says. Maybe even add video too. And bundle it with MS Office.

My office is loud enough just from all the Teams meetings going on at everyone's desk. I can't imagine how loud it will be if everyone has to talk to their computer. :(

”Hello windows, load up p0rnhub”
”Select categories feet and cake”
”Hngh, oh sh#t, pause, PAUSE”
”NO MOM, I’M NOT TALKING TO YOU”

It will be great.
I'm reminded of my early engineering days. 4 to a cubicle--2 in one was a promotion--but I digress. Imagine 4 people talking to their computers about their individual projects in that cubicle. Even headsets still let some noise in to distract your critical thinking mode.

So the workplace of the future will sound like a crowded restaurant with everyone talking and waving their hands around? lol, did they not think this through?

MS are reaching the stage of stupidity and wanting to know everything we do they make me feel pysically sick.
A pathetic company. But it still make huge profits.
May their A.I. investments crash and burn.

Seriously going to have to get my act together with Linux. MS are sick in the head.

O&O ShutUp10++ and AppBuster are indispensable too and work on 10 and 11.
I tried O&O ShutUP 10. IMO, it was far more effort than searching the web. People have figured out how to do these things without adding the complexity of ShutUp10 or beyond. IMO, its not worth the effort.

Does Microsoft know about these devices called speakers that can be used to play music on your PC? How would that work if the only way to interact with my computer is by talking into a mic?
What if I don't feel like talking?
What if I'm on the phone having a conversation while using my PC?

What if we stopped making circles square, then round again, just to claim we're fresh and that we're innovating?
Microsoft thinks they know better than everyone and anyone who runs Windows on their computers, and that is the problem. Its an example of the ultimate corporate Hubris.

IMO, they reached that stage in the early 2000's when they had the audacity to proclaim, "At Microsoft, we like to think that we can always improve on a standard." As if they had no clue what "Standard" means.
A pathetic company. But it still make huge profits.
They sell Kool Aid and people just cannot control their addiction to artificially colored and flavored sugar water.
May their A.I. investments crash and burn.
IMO, AI will crash and burn for anyone heavily invested in it especially when they are lying about its abilities.

Some people don't like it, but I'll recommend OpenSuSE LEAP. I love it. After trying RedHat, I switched to OpenSuSE and never turned back.

Sure, ShutUp10 can take a bit of effort, and one has to be careful not to disable everything. Whatever the method one is comfortable with.
