I have an HP G62-225DX notebook pc currently running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. I turned it on today and received a boot manager error , Status : 0xc00000e9. There is nothing plugged into the computer or any new software added . In the process of trying to figure out what the problem could be I ran a hard drive test and it came back failed . I don't have the windows 7 disc for this laptop so I was hoping maybe there was a way to get it back up and running without it ?

The boot hard drive has failed. We usually try to start a fresh Windows install If that fails, we remove the suspect hard drive and install a new drive. Later, you can install the suspect drive in an external USB hard drive enclosure and attach it to the laptops USB port to attempt to recover important files
