I was wondering if you guys could take a look at some bsod's ive been getting on a new pc. (new minus ram and hard drive)

I only have 1 dump for now as I forgot to turn overwrite old dump off but ill post more shortly as and when they happen.

I did run memtest for 13 passes on my 2x1 gig ddr 2 corsair ram, and it came back with no errors.

I'm hoping its just a faulty driver and not a hardware error. AFAIK I have the latest drivers for everything on the pc.

Spotify.exe is named in one of the dumps so you should make sure that is up to date and fully compatible with your OS. The other possible causes were drivers, hard drive, and memory.

The other dump was inconclusive but with drivers and software as a possible cause.

I would first remove or update Spotify and see how it goes, if the problem persists run the PC with only one memory stick, if you still have crashes swap the sticks and try again.

Finally if nothing has been found run the manufacturers diagnostics on the hard drive. Follow this guide.

Identify the make of your hard drive and then use one of the links below to get the manufacturers diagnostic for ISO CD. Burn the image file to a CD, boot the PC with the disc in the drive and run the diagnostics. You first need to set the CD drive to 1st in the boot order in the Bios setup.

If you do not have an image burner use this free software to make the CD.

HP bsod

Can you help me with MiniDump files on a HP p6367c 8gigs ram and 1tb hard drive. HP had me delete the five prev mindump files and pull the x4 ram sticks out and cmos battery fwo minutes. Still get bsod when inserting thumb drive, and when I logged in remote today.

HP is not helping. Sent it back to factory, get it back with new software install ... still BSOD.
Win7 64bit
Home Premium
Total CPUs 4
8g ram, all four slots filled, two sockets are blue
system board Pegatron Eureka3 Intel G45/G43/P45/P43
Intel Core Quad CPU q8300 2.50GHz
Mem sticks 2gb x4 Hynix Semiconductor (Hyundai Electronics)
Hard Drive WDC WD10EADS-65M2BX NOTE: I did all the software and Firmware updates and ONE update on the HP site has you create a CD with a FIX to patch the 1TB or higher hard drives fail to store creating BSOD, ... I have already applied this and everything passes DIAGs.

Mbrinsley, I would be happy to help you but you need to start you own thread not go into the middle of someone elses. You would also need to attach your minidump files so someone can look at them.

Thanks for the reply Mark.

He says he has another crash dump with a page fault error, i will post this here for you to inspect over the next few days,

I'm in the process of testing his memory sticks, this will also take a couple of days.

I'll get back to you with more info towards the end of the week.
