Hello,
This is a complete long shoot not sure if anyone will know about this or not.
I have a Datamax Printer E4203. I currently have to use the Datamax PassThrough driver to print from the software I use.
However, you can't install the PassThrough on windows 7 due to the following error:
Windows can't install the Datamax PassThrough kernel-mode print driver. To obtain a driver that is compatible with this version of windows you are running, contact the manufacturer.
I've spoken to datamax and they aren't doing a new version of this driver for windows?
I've tried disabling the following Group Policy Object. Click START/RUN gpedit.msc navigated to Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Printers and changed Disallow installation of printers using kernel-mode drivers to Disabled still no joy.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks, David
