Windows 7 Ultimate x86 - installed memory 8GB (3.48GB usable)

I just bought a new PC and have installed Win 7 ultimate 32bit.
but how come my installed memory is 8GB (3.48GB usable)

could anyone pls help.

Because you have made a big mistake not getting Windows 7 64-bit... A 32-bit OS can only "see" 3.5GB of memory. Understand?
