Hey everyone.

I am running an AMD Quad Core CPU and Vista Ultimate 64-bit. Recently I had an issue where I had to change my motherboard. I did the hardware swap and booted up without a clean install of the OS (I am running 3 hard drives and I didn't want to take the added time of reinstalling everything). Everything went smoothly and I had no issues booting again after the mb swap. However. Since then I have noticed some small performance issues with Vista and I am sure it's because I didn't do a clean install.

So my question is this. Would a Win 7 upgrade remove these performance issues or would I still have to do a clean install of Win 7 to get rid of the ghosts in the machine?

Thanks
