I could not believe this. Someone paid or is a fanboi. Defender in my experience is the worst. So many computers infected beyond repair with this thing enabled have passed trough my hands that you will cry if I tell you.

I think you misunderstand the purpose of an anti-virus. It is to remove identified malicious code from a system. It does not protect against active attackers let alone governments.

Today, there are Proactive AV programs to actually prohibit the virus from getting installed You might recall that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure! Without a proactive methodology, these first decade programs should be known as VR virus-removal tools.

Yes, there are no tools on the PC to protect the Router -- it's external to the PC and you need another approach.
