Windows Explorer Error

Hi,

Whenever I browse the drives on My Computer, I keep getting the following error " Windows Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.". It invariably closes the explorer window.

Clicking on the details of the error, I get this:
Error Signature
AppName: explorer.exe AppVer: 6.0.2900.2180 ModName: xvid.dll
ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 0003683b

Could you please help me with this?

Hi.

Have you tried uninstallng the Xvid codec? If that fixes the problem, then you can go ahead and try reinstalling it, or find another codec package. I use the K-Lite Codec Package, you can find it here: http://www.codecguide.com/download_kl.htm
