Windows Live Messanger installation

I used to have Windows Live Messanger which I uninstalled after a suspected virus attack on my laptop

I am now trying to install it but I always get the message that Windows Live is already installed on my laptop whereas it is not installed.
I have followed the 8 steps for cleaning virus and sure that I properly uninstalled Windos Live

The major concern is that people receive message with links from my Windows Live account which I did not send since I do not have it installed on my laptop. I think some virus/malware may have hijacked my windows live account and preventing me from re-installing the software

Will appreciate any help resolving this issue

Download Ccleaner and run the cleaner and registry tool. Fix all registry stuff found and restart the computer. Try to install Live Messenger again.

Yes, it most certainly sounds like you have been infected! ..... Please follow the 8-step guide completely (please do not skip any steps!!) and attach the logs asked for at the end of it in your next post.
