Worried I may have a virus :-/

Hello all.

Newbie to the forum.....(thank you for being here!!)
My problem is with my Acer Aspire, I have windows 10 and tonight when I turned my laptop on, I get an annoying window that won't go away.
It has this at the top of the window.....

C:\Program Files (x86)\Amazon\Amazon Assistant\aa.hta

Any ideas on this or help would be very much appreciated!

Hi, Thanks for the link....
I tried this earlier, but both the 'modify' and 'uninstall' are in light grey and it doesn't do anything when clicked on
!

The window that comes up is completely blank apart from the C:\Program Files (x86)\Amazon\Amazon Assistant\aa.hta in the top left hand corner.

Were you able to fix your problem? I'm afraid I'm experiencing the same thing and I do not know how to fix it. The previous replies do not help at all.
