Fans of Valve's first-person shooter Team Fortress 2 are getting a treat later today, in what the game developer is calling its "largest update" to date. Alongside a slew of tweaks, changes and bug fixes, the star of the show is a brand new map called Badlands.

The map is based on an old Team Fortress Classic map that Valve says introduces 'control-point gameplay on vertical landscapes'. In addition, three previously released maps - Dustbowl, Granary, and CTF_Well - will also receive performance and gameplay tweaks. A full list of the changes can be found here. The update should be rolled out later today through Steam. Unfortunately(??),These updates are for the PC version only, with no new information on when Xbox 360 and PS3 owners will be able to take advantage of these goodies.
