SCO's demise has been staved off, it seems, with a recent injection of cash from the Middle East. SCO has received around $100 million in funding to help them survive, following the company outlining a business plan that doesn't involve suing the universe and all its inhabitants.

After losing many battles to Novell and others, it seemed most likely that the company would not be able to sustain themselves. It went so far as to cause them to file for bankruptcy protection. Is this the saving grace for the company? Definitely not. Money will not fix SCO's previous business errors, but perhaps this will be the encouragement they need to reshape their company. Perhaps, this time around, they will actually sell instead of sue.
