Logitech has started taking preorders for its "Revue" Google TV set-top device today, with initial pricing set at $300. That fee gets you an Android-based media box with applications for popular social and entertainment services including Netflix, Hulu, Napster, Pandora, Twitter and others. Logitech believes that list will grow, too. "With a huge community of developers creating apps for the upcoming Android Market, there's no telling what your TV will be able to do." Naturally, you can view local content with a preinstalled media player as well.

The set-top box features HDMI input and output, 802.11a/b/g/n and 10/100 Ethernet, S/PDIF-out, and two USB 2.0 ports. It also has Logitech's Unifying technology letting you connect up to six compliant accessories. Included in the $300 package is a keyboard with integrated touch and directional controls, an HDMI cable, an IR blaster and a pair of AA batteries. Other accessories such as a webcam for video calls are also up for preorder, but you'll pay plenty extra for them. The camera is $150, while a Revue-specific version of the diNovo Mini is $130.
