Unlike many gaming laptops, the Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 (2025) is a truly portable device, thanks to its compact dimensions and lightweight construction. More remarkable is the fact that performance hasn’t been sacrificed. What has been, though, is cooling, since despite the loud fans, the body still gets incredibly hot in places. More elite rivals handle their power better without asking for much more money, while some cheaper alternatives aren’t that far behind in terms of performance. But if portability is a priority and you can stand the heat, the Zephyrus G14 (2025) is a fine choice.

The ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 (2025) is a premium, compact powerhouse that blends top-tier performance with a sleek and professional design. While it doesn't offer the best performance per rupee-especially when compared to bulkier gaming laptops in the same price range-it delivers an excellent balance of portability, power, and style.

The strangely inconsistent fan noise really takes the shine of this generation's G14, despite it still being a delicious device, with a beautiful OLED screen, and decent gaming performance. But with a new Blade 14 rectifying all the issues Razer's compact machine has had over the past couple of years, it certainly suffers by comparison.

The display is sharp and one of the best from the brand. The gaming performance is up to par, and you can play most of the AAA titles on this machine. However, it sure comes with some limitations, with the compact size and heat management being one of those. Moreover, the battery is not that great, but it's doable most of the time.

With the two powerful GPU options available, namely the RTX 5070 Ti Laptop and the RTX 5080 Laptop, the new ROG Zephyrus G14 is currently pretty unrivaled, as the normal RTX 5070 Laptop is noticeably slower. We are curious to see whether other manufacturers, such as Razer, will follow suit.
