Overview

The Pixel 11 is a really good phone. It gets a lot right, has a solid camera system, and a bunch of smart features that make the phone feel more helpful than competitors. At the same time, Google’s hardware remains a bit behind the curve, and price increases don’t help matters either.

The only real downside to the Pixel 11 is that it's quite the iterative upgrade. But, we're long past the time where most people will see notable benefits upgrading their phone every year, especially given the financial impacts of RAMageddon. If you're coming from a Pixel older than last year's model, the Pixel 11 will represent a significant upgrade.

Google’s Pixel 11 ($899), Pixel 11 Pro ($1,099), and Pixel 11 Pro XL ($1,299) improve upon last year’s Pixel 10 series with a more efficient SoC (Tensor G6) and camera upgrades. The Pro models gain a notification light (HiLight) and brighter displays but at the expense of less base RAM, slightly smaller batteries, and higher prices.

The Pixel 11 is a good phone but an expensive phone. One that is tough to evaluate without all the other market factors that make it such. In a few months, it’ll become a much better buy by virtue of discounts and sales, as it has always been with Google hardware for better or worse.

Before buying a Google Pixel 11, consider what you've needed for any smartphone you've used before, including but not limited to protective cases, screen protectors, and magnetic accessories. If you've been using a Google Pixel 3 since 2018, now's a good time to buy a Google Pixel 11. It's a delightful phone that's well worth the asking price.
