The Galaxy Z Flip 8 would be an excellent phone for a stylish, on-trend young person that doesn't need a 200MP camera. It has a good suite of AI features, which are especially useful for quick photo edits. In the pink colorway, it's our favorite phone design in years.

The Galaxy Z Flip 8 is what you get when you’ve spent six years fine-tuning and refining the clamshell-style foldable smartphone. Year after year, Samsung has made little tweaks here and there, getting ever closer to the perfect flip foldable. With a brighter and more visually pleasing display, great battery life, and great cameras, the Galaxy Z Flip 8 is the best Flip Samsung has made so far.

If you aren’t trying to save money and are willing to spend big on an Android flip phone, the best answer for you may come down to battery life. The Z Flip 8 is a sleeker phone with the fastest processor and more software support, but expect to keep a charger or battery pack nearby for longer days. The Razr Ultra might be a little heavier, but its larger battery recharges faster than the Z Flip 8’s, and it comes in options with materials such as wood and fabric.
