Power Consumption

At idle the MSI Cubi 2 Plus is extremely efficient and although it does consume quite a bit more power than the ultra-compact Asrock Beebox and ECS LivaX, it uses far less than the desktop Core i3 and Pentium processors paired with a standard ATX power supply.

Placing the CPU under full load using Prime95 we see that the Cubi 2 Plus remains very efficient, particularly compared to more traditional desktop systems. Just 37 watts was consumed with both cores operating at 3.2GHz with 100% load, an impressive result indeed.

Now with both the CPU and iGPU placed under full load for a maximum consumption scenario we see that the Cubi 2 Plus consumes just 45 watts.
