Both Core i3 setups pulled 89 watts in Prime 95 or 25% less power than the i5-4690, which used only 6% less power than the i7.

Again both Core i3 models allowed for roughly the same system consumption figures, making them 23% lighter on fuel than the i5-4690. The i5 and i7 consumed similar levels of power with the former using just 5% less.

This time the Core i3 system consumed 77 watts – 21% lower than the i5-4690 and 27% less than the i7-4790.

WinRAR gives us a look at system power consumption figures when using one thread as well as multiple threads. Interestingly, the single thread consumption was exactly the same for all four processors.
