You could upgrade your graphics card as a start.
Here you can compare some common graphics cards, you probably will need an agp graphics card, not the newer pci-e cards.

A faster cpu and faster ram(if yours is sdram, not ddr) would also help, but would likely require you to buy a new motherbaord as well.

I've just updated my graphic card at Geforce 4 MX 440 to ATI Radeon 9600. You're right, I've to purchase a new motherboard to use another type of ram. I think I try to manage a while with that ****in' Compaq and save some money during that and then buy a better pc. What you think?vnf4ultra said:
