The latest is that when you upgrade to version 2077 the spam filter is changed with a new one that is disactivated by default and you have to pay a yearly suscription to activate it. That means that to buy Incredimail, not see their publicity banners and avoid spam, you have to pay around $ 90 the first time and $ 40 each year to be protected against spam plus at least $ 25 a year if you want to be a Gold Member which gives you more backgrounds and other graphics to use.

I bought it with the spam filter and then they took that feature away and now want to charge to have it reactivated.In my opinion this is very unethical.

| logan on November 10, 2006 1:48 PM | I had the free version of the spam filter that came with Incredimail and it worked fine, but for some reason they decided to make it pay for use. I emailed Incredimail telling them it was not fair to us who were used to the free filter and that they should have asked us if we wanted to upgrade to the paid filter and if not leave the free one activated,their reply to me was nothing more than a commercial stating that it was for the best and that if I wanted the filter that it would cost me 49.00 per year. I replied that I had a mail filter program and that it suffice and that it cost me nothing and did the same thing as theirs plus I can reply from within my program and blacklist and delete my junk mail without having to pay a fee each year.
