Twitter has agreed to keep alive the website as well as photo archive of Twitpic, the image-sharing service that was supposed to shut down on Saturday following a failed acquisition deal.
Photo-sharing service Twitpic has announced that it will be shutting down after all, marking October 25 as its final day online. The announcement comes just a few weeks after the company said that it had been acquired.
Twitpic has announced plans to shut down on September 25. The service, launched in 2008 by Noah Everett as a way to share images on Twitter, is ironically now being forced out of business by the very platform it supports.
