2.5 inch SATA hard drive to 3.5 inch IDE connection

Hi,
I have an older desktop computer (emachines t2885) which has an 80GB 3.5" ide hard drive, and space for one more drive. I also have an unused 320GB laptop (2.5") drive. I was wondering if there is a way to hook this up internally, with an adapter of some sort, if that is at all possible, or would I be better off with an external enclosure? my only reserve to going external is that i want to use the drive for movies/games etc and USB can be slow sometimes. I have also seen pci cards for e-sata... is this an option here? Any information would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

hi
ive seen adaptors that convert IDE to SATA, but none that go the otherway....anyone else got a suggestion.
