Strange that he didn't notice before that he had a hyperthreading cpu. You wouldn't think it would come with it disabled.

That's why I posted this image lol :haha:

Yeah, windows thinks that you have two processors, and it assigns a thread to each "processor".

That's what I thought. I wasn't used to task manager on my Sony (not mine) because it showed me 2 processor usage bars.

Just like dual core CPU's. When you see those two CPU usage bars @ full 100%, then you're fully utilizing the dual core CPU power, and at the same time, your power bill keeps growing & growing ($$$$$$) lol, especially with Pentium D's :)

I almost went with a Pentium D over my current system, but I decided that that the AMD would perform better in gaming, so I went with that. (upside down exclamation)Esta bien!

That would be your worst mistake. Muy mal!
But of you like to encode video, or something like that, Intel CPU's normally win. But if you only like to game (like me :)), then AMD Athlon's perform way better than any Pentium processor.
Unfortunately, Core 2 Duo's kick Athlon's *** by a very long shot :(

That's what I thought. It definintly would be muy mal :D . Estoy tomando la clase de Español y comprendo lo qué dice! :)

Muy bien. Nadamás que "que" no lleva acento ;) A menos que quieras remarcarlo. Por ejemplo: ¿Por qué este thread tiene 60 respuestas en menos de un día? :D

I should stop talking in Spanish, or a mod will delete my post hehe :)

I'm only in my third year, but thanks for pointing out the mistake. I get what, and that mixed up sometimes. Now back to the subject :)

Lol I Actually didnt care what is HT When i got the Computer...
So i wasnt really sure what it marked as 2 cpu's

Yeah most people think when they see P4 its jsut a P4 becuase some companies that make and sell PC's jsut call it P4 even though it has P4 w/HT, but I notice a huge difference of speed when I turn it off it works pretty good

Hopefully, I mean it's basically cutting the workload in half and putting each half onto different threads (actually that's what it does), so in the end the computer can do more at one time.
