2 sound card on one computer?

Is there anyway that you can use the onboard sound on your motherboard, and a pci soundcard at the same time with 2 different speaker systems? I have a creative audigy 4 sound card, and the integrated sound on a p5w dh deluxe motherboard...and a z5500 sound system and a creative itrigue 3400.

Running both is not possible. You may be able to configure your current sound card to support both sets of speakers, but I am not familiar with them.

I think it is but only with packages that can specify this (for example traktor dj software lets you specify 2 cards)

you can use 2 sound cards, but when you choose on board sound you gotta make sure bios has not turned it off cos of card plugged in.

once that is done, go into your program you wish to use and change the sound card choice (ac97 etc) total recorder will also let you do this (look into that package) I got it working at the moment
