22" or 24" monitor

hi, i was wondering if anyone could help me decide on weather to get a 22" or a 24". i have a hd 3870 and am thinking that the 24" res might be a bit to much for a single card, but on the other hand the 24" is 1950x1080 and would be great for watching movies and playing my xbox. Am using a friends 22" monitor atm and am luvin it but am not sure if i should go bigger.

Any suggestions?

24", having the ability to do true 1080p video is worth it.

yes I will agree, go for the 24", I am running a 30" Dell on a 8800GT and it does all I need.
